Great East Japan Earthquake Support Activities
We extend our condolences to all who suffered as a result of the Great East Japan Earthquake.
As a member of the Mitsubishi Corporation Group, we took part in reconstruction assistance volunteer activities in order to contribute in whatever way we could to the recovery of the disaster-stricken area. (September 29 to October 1, 2016)
These activities consisted of participating in the Fukushima Winery Project by removing leaves from apple trees in order to improve apple colors. The Fukushima Winery Project is aimed at further restoration of agriculture in Fukushima by creating a new model integrating primary, secondary, and tertiary industries through the making of wines and liqueurs from fruit grown in Fukushima (peaches, apples, pears, and grapes).
We will continue our efforts to contribute to society.

Hosting Family Day
Aiming at “a comfortable and family-friendly workplace” from the perspective of work-life balance, we hosted a “Family Day” event at the office, where we entertained visitors from our employees’ families, the people who support them every day.
On that day, 13 people from six employees’ families participated in the event. They met and greeted those employees’ coworkers and supervisors, exchanging cards with executives, joining in a stamp rally, and taking quizzes. We held an exhibition on our corporate history and the maritime industry in general to provide a chance to deepen the families’ understanding of the company and the industry.
We will continue to strive to “improve our employees’ work-life-balance awareness” and to provide “a comfortable, family-friendly workplace.”

During their lunch breaks, 13 volunteers took part in the program and made over 30 envelopes.
These envelopes were delivered to the Japan Braille Library for use in the mailing of products for people with visual impairments. As a member of society we will continue to do what we can to serve the community.
